These were designed to be a bit of fun but they are also very practical. They have heavy bases with a variety of different sized holes going right down the base so that heavy headed stems can be supported without the vase falling over. Leaves and petals can also be supported by the surrounding rim of the cup.
They are wheel thrown in a buff stoneware clay in two parts and are attached at a bit of an angle to give them a bit of wonky character. The top cup part is glazed in a matt stone glaze and the stem base is left unglazed showing the contrasting dark sandy coloured raw fired clay. My makers mark is stamped on the base.
They are watertight so can be used for fresh or dry flowers. They can be hand washed in warm soapy water.
Please note these really are unique and no two are exactly the same. Occasionally the glaze fills part of the holes so some are deeper than others.
Height 12-14 cm. Diameter of rim approx 12 cm. Diameter of base approx 8 cm.
The environment is important to me and I want the packaging of my items to be effective, attractive and sustainable. I use a variety of packaging materials depending on how the item is getting to its new home. This may in part be reusing less 'green' packaging that can be reused again, or using my own sustainable packaging.
Postage (second class) and packaging costs are included in the price shown. Items will be posted within 5 days or ordering.
